It was an unseasonably warm and humid early May morning for the run. Coast guard trainees guarded the intersections along the course. The event was well planned and executed with lots of volunteer help along the route and in the Rec Center. Our top left picture shows the trophies for the race. The top center picture shows a Coast Guard unit that ran in formation in the 2.2 mile event. The bottom left picture shows eventual winner Joe Link going out Bay Drive during the second mile. The bottom center picture shows female winner Linda Tomlin on her way out Bay Drive. Finally, at the bottom right we see Joe Link finishing strong in the final mile of the race.
