Paradise on the Delaware Bay

Rehoboth Beach Folk Music Festival
September 17, 2000
The CapeMayBeach.com camera and crew spent the afternoon across the Bay near Lewes, DE attending a folk music event. The weather was perfect for an outdoor afternoon listening to some very entertaining local performers:
The left picture below shows the program cover for the event. In the center we see the admission tent with a definite non-beach backdrop. At the right, the blue sky over the performing tent captures the essence of the perfect weather during the Festival.

Dr.  Bruce Richards, Executive Director of the Center for the Inland Bays, is also "Doc" of the group, Rich & Doc. The picture at left below shows Tim, Bruce, and Rick relaxing before their eleven-song performance. The center picture shows the group along with Bruce's wife, Cindy, huddling to finalize their playlist for the day. The picture at the right shows Rich & Doc performing. One of our highlights of the day was meeting Crabmeat Thompson, the folk singer with the world-class name. The picture at left below shows Crabmeat, his wife Crabcake, and Bill with the CD he just purchased. The picture at the right shows the Dover Mountain Band during their performance. We thoroughly enjoyed this event and hope that it will repeat next year.
